    Hi All,

Hope this is the right forum for this.
I was wondering if anybody had any success with an All rights reserved passport application lately? The QLD Drivers license went through without a glitch earlier this year, however the APO is blocking my application for the second time for a passport due to “unacceptable, inappropriate or offensive signature”.

I sent them 3 notices that they breached the contract, as well as proof of signature (using the DL), etc. I even visited the Brisbane office this week in the hope that I can speak to someone reasonable there, but I could not. I asked the manager what gives them authority to dictate to me how I sign my signature. She referred to subsection 53(4) of the Australian Passports Act 2005 (the Act). I then asked to quote my the part which allows them to dictate to me how I sign my signature. She refused and asked security to escort me out.
Almost forgot to tell that after the first rejection I sent a formal complaint to the new “minister for foreign affairs”. I never received a reply from her office, but as it turned out they forwarded my complaint to the APO who investigated themselves and found that they did the right thing, which triggered me to write again to the minister emphasizing that I asked her to investigate instead of the APO. The result is total silence…

So, I thought I drop this is in to have a little brainstorming to see what options we can come up with to get this over the line.
Two possible options that I thought of would be to forward the complaint to the PM and the Governor General, and to sue to these little bureauc-rats who processed my application.

      Hi bj,

Thx for the reply. Would you please elaborate on how you sent it to the NSW office?
It is interesting that you had results there as mine was first bounced back by the Sydney office (that is where they sent it).

If you do a three step notice with an affidavit attached then this will create an agreement in the private. You can then use that agreement to support sending them an invoice for infringing upon your rights to sign your signature as you choose (as long as that is your normal signature). You need to include fee schedules and ask the right questions to create the agreement. In the affidavit you make sure they cannot rebut your statements and if they need evidence to support them (the statements) attach evidence as exhibits. You can learn to do a three step notice by completing the non consent to lockdown process and then using the form of that as a template to assist you to write your own affidavit and three step process.

Make sure you get all interactions recorded so you have evidence of any misbehaviour by them.

I have a question please. I lost my license so went in to RMS to apply for a new one so I could sign with “all rights reserved” I was asked if i normally sign this way and I said “yes”. I asked for a copy of my application and they complied. My new license came yesterday and they either used and old license signature or cropped out somehow the “all rights reserved” words. What is the best way to resolve this please so I can receive what I applied for?

You create your own affidavit. Watch the webinars on how to do this. Just include the points made in the Pdf I gave you. Here is a simple witness affidavit, you can use this as a template and just put your details on it re ARR signature instead of the witness details. Put your own heading on it beside the word Purpose: The first few points can be copied up to number 9. Then put your assertions point by point.

You must get a JP to witness you signing the affidavit and you affirming that everything in it is true.

You have been so helpful with your guidance. I work with my hands and not known for sitting at a desk typing and fighting against the system. We live in extraordinary times and a steep learning curve, so I appreciate all this assistance.

And my firearms license is due by Friday, so I would like to sign this with ARR as well. Have you heard of any different issues regarding this?

Hi whatever your signature is they have to accept it, just take along a statutory declaration signed by a JP to state your new signature. Make sure you always sign your signature that way on any documentation.

Hi stevieray26, just wondering whereabouts you are and how you got on with your ARR Firearms License?

I am in SA and recently found Solutions Empowerment after being charged with firearms offenses that I believe would not have applied if I had signed my License ARR…
