Hi Samuel, I’m testing this message with the smallest file I have – 20MB. It won’t let me transfer anything to you larger than 22MB.
This 8th edition is not a very good copy. The front page starts about 500 pages in. You’ll see where the front page is when you get to it. You’ll be able to get a start on it though until I can find some other way to transfer the file to you. The original 2nd edition is all made with photo scans of the pages which is why it is so very big – and there’s thousands of pages in each volume …3000-5500.

Hi again Samuel. This is the website where I find most of the online PDF resources. It’s a bit tricky to navigate but once you get the hang of it it’s easy.
I have never signed up. I don’t give anyone online my details unless it’s unavoidable and I’m prepared to make the exchange of my info if I want something badly enough – which is rare.
With this site I’ve been able to avoid it.
When I search for books I bypass as much as I can. If they have popups ever I always hit the ‘esc’ key. It always clears the screen of anything sitting on top of the page.
(I hope I’m not preaching to the converted – I probably am …apols)
When I find a book I’m interested in I do click on the download link (button/field) to get the system to search for the PDF. You’ll come to a page that looks almost the same and will tell you if the book it’s available. If the book is out of copyright as the old Black’s dictionaries are then they are nearly always available.
I then find the small down arrow next to the field and look for the PDF link if it is not visible. The drop down menu should hold itself while you choose. I don’t click on the PDF link though because if the book is very large – as is this one – it can take a while to download. I right-click the mouse and then I can choose to “Save Link As” … it then opened up the save window and you can then choose where you wish to save it.
If you do a search inside the site the other editions appear also.
