Car insurance in my name, registered in previous owners name
I recently bought a car that’s ensured in the previous owner’s name. As the car is modified, I cannot get the rego transferred into my name due to not being able to obtain a RWC.
Can I get the car ensures in my name? (given that it’s registered in previous owners name) is there any way I can get it ensured?

It would probably need to have a warrant of fitness to be insured and the insurance company may have some terms and conditions around cars that have been altered. It’s probably best to ring around several insurance companies to find out what is possible.
