Hi, JPs don’t need to know what your affidavit is about, they are there to witness your signature. When, or if, I think JPs will have a problem with any of my documents then I cover it with paper and paperclip the paper to each page and just leave a space on each page for signatures. I tell the JP it is a private and confidential document and that I just want them to witness my signature. It is good to date and sign each page as long as the JP signs it on every page as well. You can put Deponent: [your signature] Taken By: [Jps signature] at the bottom of each page. The only time the JP has to see your document is if they are signing it as a true and correct copy and even then they are meant to be impartial officers just witnessing that copy, they also only need to look at the first and final paragraph of each page to ensure it is a true copy, they have no right to cast judgement on what you are doing.
