    it sounds like you are making all the right moves, just keep on the path you are on. As for an affidavit; affidavits are just statements of fact and are not really of any use unless it is to establish some things with the adversary. They need to be given to another party so that they can become unrebutted. When they are not rebutted they become truth in law and commerce. Therefore when you write an affidavit you need to make sure the facts in them cannot be rebutted. There are two ways of doing this a. it can’t be rebutted because it is self evident eg I am living. b. you have evidence which you present as exhibits to the affidavit.
