  • Adding an income to previous years to loan

    Hi guys

In order to loan I need to amend my last two tax returns to add the “productivity of labor” as an income for the 2023 return, and for this 2024 return to show 2 years.
A tax agent has prepared the amendment. I can sign her document “by. Signature, name , all rights reserved, to the best of my knowledge”. And I’m hoping I can send an apology letter with it.

    My questions are:

Q1 – Does it matter if she submits my return as the agents tax return with my By. signature and apology letter, OR , must I only fill out the individual tax form myself?

Q2 – Does anyone have templates or examples of someone apologizing for not including an entire year’s income? There may not be examples of people adding this as people are usually doing the opposite. I thought id best be careful how I go about this as I am declaring an entire years income as an amendment.

I have completed my 2023 return with ” by. Signature, name , all rights reserved, to the best of my knowledge” so I am hoping this should waive any issues they might try with fraud.

    Thanks guys

    Laura 🙂
