Hi, i’ll try to make this brief.

Back in 2019 my husband received a speeding fine that he chose to go to court on.

The first date he forgot to show on but requested a rehearing on, which they gave. The second court date he called on the morning of, and said he was sick. At the third court date he had just flown out of the country, forgetting about the court date, which i remembered the day before and called them to say he was out of the country. They said he needed to email and call them on that, which he did. He also told them that when rescheduled, to send it by mail, not email, as we don’t always check or email. Fast forward to a few months ago, we got a statement from the fines unit for it. Trying to figure out what for, we realized they sent a court date by email, which my husband unaware of it, did not attend. He called the court on it, they said he needed to come in to the court to reschedule, When he went in, the guy told him, sorry, it’s been heard already, no more rescheduling. My husband explained about sending by mail, not email, which they should have the previous conversation recorded. They did send all the other court dates by mail.He was shut down and told no further court dates. Now the fines unit say they are garnishing our bank account for the fine cost. Should he not have received a court order instead of putting in the fines unit if a determination was held without my husband?

He contracted by replying to fine. Should of returned fine unopened ROS with do not contract. I have done this along with a few other items( will post when I have time). Never paid a fine, you are contracting by opening or replying to the offer of contract(fine letter).

You need to keep your finances safe by either taking them out and keeping them somewhere safe, transacting as much as you can in cash and/or purchasing an unregistered trust and have all your funds put into a Trust account so they can’t illegally dip into your accounts any longer without consequence.
