Greetings SE family, where does one find whether any govco agency has cashed in your boe money order? Good to know for pushback.

    Hi Thomas,

I send a cheque to accompany my A4V and discharging a liability under the Bills of Exchange Act 1909. That way I can see in my statement of account whether it has received my cheque and when it was dishonoured.

    God bless,

    Brian

      Hi Brian, how are you?

Is the cheque you sent attached to a bank account? (hopefully not a silly question as I might be assuming). As I had filled in the payment slip at the bottom of the ATO Statement and sent it back to them, I used my reference number as the money order number. Hopefully I’ve done it correctly.

The cheque I attached to the payment slip is linked to my bank account. I refashioned the Payment Slip into a money order as Mark instructed and created a unique reference number for this money order. The amount in this money order is the amount of the liability incurred for the quarter for my net GST. I made the payment to David Allen, Deputy Commissioner of Taxation. The cheque is for the amount which I have accepted for value in the Statement of Account.

        God bless,

        Brian

Hi Brian, i also corresponded with David Allen but as per usual NO REPLY. I was off the thought that the money order that we send through is from the trust funds that they have started and matured over our time here on earth. Hopefully I’m correct as i utilised the payment slip at the base of the statement. If at any point ato threaten us to pay via our actual hard earned physical play money isn’t that extortion? From my learnings everything we have has been pre paid hence its on a statement that they send us to balance the books on thier end.

I will keep you updated and post anything that comes through.

    Peace and blessings
