Infringement notice

So far so good-. Just seeing if anyone else can pick my faults and put in their thoughts
I was recently pulled over for being over the speed limit. As there was no phone service the infringement notice turned up in the mail a couple weeks later . I wrote back asking for validation of the debt with the law they were relying on and the proclaimation certificate that gave ascent to the law they were relying on and sent their paperwork back to them. 1 month went by and now have another letter from a senior sergent in the police service affording me another 28 days to pay the penalty or elect to have the matter determined by a court. I think they are testing me as i I should have followed up with a 2nd & 3rd timely letter to the firm up the process. I was a bit lazy as i did the same style for my partner once for using a hand held device in her car. It only took one letter and we didnt get any replys.

Yes you are right because you didn’t follow the 3 step process using an affidavit and three conditional acceptance notices, it wasn’t a sure fire method of getting a result or of being able to use it to hold your position if it was taken to court. The fact that you got results the first time was good luck rather than a solid process. Here’s some more ideas.

Thankyou Janet 🙂 after the reply i’ve started sending the 3 letter step, 3rd letter is due to be sent friday however just got a sper notice in the mail today 🙁
No I didnt record the event as I was running late and had the kids in the car. I did have a manual from one of marks courses at maleny years ago I attended however i was unable to find it and thought i’d have a go without it.

Good on you, I would just hold my position with the notices and once I had an agreement established I could create another affidavit listing everything I had done and reiterating the equitable estoppel agreement that had been reached, giving them the opportunity to rebut. Which they wouldn’t be able to so it would solidify my position. That’s what I would do anyway, what you do is up to you.
