    Hello All

Does anyone have info to answer this question: if I want to set up a film company but instead set it up as a non-registered trust (have no company but only myself as trsutee), can this then operate effectively in the public world. eg with film distributors, actors, film crew etc. Is this an easy task or is it best to not do it this way and stick to a traditional public company Pty Ltd? (also, governments will want to deal with registered trusts, companies etc, not non-registered). Will private companies, like distributors etc, deal with non-registered trusts?

    Any thoughts on this?

    Thanks very much.

      Hello Morag

Thank you for your replies along the way, it’s VERY helpful.

Another question: When a trustee transfers money from their personal account into the Trust account, do they label this as a “Contribution” in the description (like with foundations), or “donation” or “gift”. I prefer contribution, but this is the 1st time I have had a trust account, so I want to get it right.

      Thank you very much.
