Speeding Fine/ Infringement
Hey all,
I received two speeding tickets a couple of months back and did a statutory declaration saying it was someone else (only provided name) and have just received letters back to do it again with more information about the ‘driver’. What do I do?
I also just got another one today.

Stat decs can’t be used to prove anything in court but they are helpful in dealing with public officials. You need an affidavit for court.

Question on this topic. How do we go with “no contract no consent” if in the past we HAVE accepted and paid speeding fines? Ive had maybe 10 minor speeding issues over 35 years of driving. How can I NOW say “I do not consent” ? NSW Red light and mobile phone offence just received from same day $1000 9 points 🙁
And, penalty sent to wife from rego but me driving. Do we send her penalty back “no contract”, or change to me and then I fight “no contract”?

Hi Philip, even if you have accepted offers in the past, it doesn’t mean you have to accept all future offers. You can decline to consent.
