UPDATE: I just called the Park City Utah PD and dispatch informed me that all cops involved in this incident are NO LONGER employed. I also know there was an internal investigation and a number of violations by punk Rodriquez were noted.

Great result but if it was here in Australia the police would investigate themselves
and find “nothing to see here” and the courts would side with them over you.

Maybe, but cases have been won in Aussie over police not following proper procedure and also in NZ. I suppose it depends how well one sets themselves up to win with a private agreement and how competent they are in court if they choose to do it themselves. The courts support trying to settle in a private meeting out of court and if they have refused to have a private meeting the courts will order them to do so.
