Hai, I recently sent to change my drivers license with the signature of ALL RIGHTS RESERVED like Marc had suggested in his video and they refused to process the paperwork. I had a very intense discussion for about 45 mins and they shredded all my documents and stated that if I did not sign without the “all rights reserved” I could not receive my license nor I could not register my vehicle. Do I just then not get a license or has anyone else come across this?

In SA all i did was went to motor reg place and filled out the form again and when i got to the electronic pad i signed it like this “By: *signature* All rights reserved”

Its not as neat as it’d be on paper but its on there

there was no way i could fit my name in English after the By: *signature*.

Or would it better to go back and change it completely so its not a signature but like this “By: *given names* All rights reserved.”

In Canada they are saying that you are not allowed to have anything in your signature only your name. I see that they are making this a push in all areas even in our health cards. Memo’s are going out to all organizations stopping people from doing this. I think it is because so many are trying to do it.

It would be better to leave it the way you have done it. Just make sure you sign all documents that way from now on.

My partner and I did the Stat Dec and got it signed by the JP. We took it with us to get the new licences in Brisbane and we told them we had lost the licence. Well I actually did. We did not tell them or ask them about putting, All Rights Reserved, in with our signature we just asked if we could get new pictures taken as we have aged a little and when it came Time to sign we just signed our names, By: xxxxxx and under that all rights reserved remembering to make sure some letters touch the signature above incase they try to cut it out. It was that simple and we asked for printed copies of the paper work. But we did rehearse what to say if they said no. But they can’t its my signature and I can sign it anyway I like as far as I am concerned.
