Debt court hearing
So I discovered solutions empowerment website after I filed a defence to a statement of claim. I have now realised I probably have set myself up to fail with my defence to the claim. I never did the 3 step process as I have only just learnt about it. The only thing could possibly go in my favour is that I don’t remember( latches) having the credit card they claiming the debt originated from the last known payment back in December 2016. I cant find any default listings on the 3 main credit reporting companies. Any suggestions as I think I am going to be screwed over with this one.

You could always start a three step process now and seek an adjournment if you haven’t finished it by the court date. Just a suggestion.

Just became overwhelmed trying to keep up with repayments I just gave up and ignored everything around 2015, 2016. I work away a lot so probably didn’t even read mail from debt collectors. Been watching lots of modules and will be purchasing soon. I have managed to adjourn it to the first week of February. Do you think I should send a conditional acceptance?

That is up to you. You need to weigh up all your options. It sounds like it has proceeded to court which means preparation for court. If you want to you can start a three step process of conditional acceptance. You need to be preparing for court learning scripts and role playing and learning hw to execute the court paperwork competently. Module 32 deals with defending yourself in court and tells you how to proceed step by step and has examples you can use as templates.
