    Hi everyone,

Since July 2023, I used the accepted for value approach with a $1.20 stamp and a 5c stamp to discharge my public company’s tax liability. Obviously, they have not written back or sent me back my statements with these stamps to protest. They have only sent me monthly statements claiming that I continue to owe the discharged amounts with interest accruing.

I have on these occasions wrote back to note that their monthly statements equate to rejecting payment using a legitimate means of payment.

About 10mins ago, I received a phone call from a private number, which I did not pick up. The caller was from the ATO leaving me a message telling me to call them back regarding my company. I will wait for the letter to arrive in the mail and then write back claiming that there are unsigned and unsolicited mail from someone claiming to be their staff. I will ask for particulars and then see how they proceed.

    Keep you all updated.

    In Christ,

    Brian

I’ve seen more than one version then. Either way, I will only correspond in writing and have them write to state their business to me before responding.

          God bless,

          Brian
