Mistake on Notice – BOE
Hi guys
I have stupidly put the wrong post code on my new PO Box when noticing SPER.
However the post code I used is next to this area, and when my letter to Equifax was returned to sender, I still received it.When I sent my BOE, on my notices I directed SPER to direct any further correspondence to my Po Box. They replied by email which isn’t a valid reply, but because I have provided the wrong post code, I may not be able to refer them to the notices providing the address to send to.
I am thinking of a few options:
Leave the address as it is, because I can receive mail to that PO Box even with the wrong post code. I feel that could easily be used against me in court, as I had not provided a valid address for them to reply or return the BOE.
I could apologize for the mistake, but then this may mean the BOE isnt invalid, as they didn’t have the correct address to return the BOE within 72 hours.
If anyone has any ideas, that would be greatly appreciated.
Worst case scenario, if I can do much here, I have found this BOE to be quite stress free and fun, I have learnt so much this time round, I feel like I could do it again, or wait for a notice from them again and do A BOE for the next sent through for the same SPER debt.
