Council ‘requesting’ access to my bed and breakfast property to request inspect
I have just today received an email from council requesting access to the property to check on building work that haven’t been sent through the parasites. It is off the back of an absolute scoundrel who lives in the Road we are on dobbing us in AGAIN. Can someone please advise me as to what I can do here as there would be ridiculous fees etc from these pirates otherwise.
If I had my way, I’d quit paying the grubs rates and the whole lot, so open to suggestions.

hi bagwarn, the key word is ‘requesting’. Are they ordering you? No, they are requesting. That means your compliance is voluntary. If you would like to PM me I could give you some options.

This might be a little late but you could reply to the email with a private property entry request form, make it detailed and tack on a non refundable fee for processing of say $10,000.
Add in a no explanation for refusal and make the fee for each request.
