  • Expiation Notice – NOTICE OF DEMAND TO CEASE AND DESIST SOLICITON

    Hello All,

Since I received a text message from SA Fines about an new fine & writing to them with NOTICE OF DEMAND TO CEASE AND DESIST SOLICITON, I am still receiving notices by Australia Post from them in the ALL CAPS. I continue to send them back un-opened with DO NOT CONSENT etc.

So today I received 3 envelopes. 2 of them have a postal address only & addressed to my ALL CAPS Name which I will send back DO NOT CONSENT.

However one envelope has Fines Enforcement and Recovery Unit on the envelope as well as their postal address and my name is all in Lower Case ( Jane Doe )

Very unusual for them to put their name on the envelope and my name in lower case.

Should I open this one, do I have to open this one. This is new to me. Love to hear any feed back.

    Thank you.

It’s up to you whether you open it or not. If you decide not to open it maybe just make sure you get evidence in the form of either a photocopy of the envelope with your writing on it and maybe even video yourself mailing it back. We were handed a couple of letters the other day and because it was incorrectly addressed (We were tempted to ascertain what was in them but we decided we didn’t need the extra angst) We sent them back and wrote on it ‘found in p o box on such and such a date and returned on such and such a date. Incorrectly addressed Only mail with the correct address will be dealt with return to sender for cause without dishonour. Then we did the above that I discussed with you. We had specified in our notices that any mail to be sent to c/o the P O Box and they just keep sending it to P O Box. We had already let them know in a fourth notice that this is incorrect and gave them the correct address for service and told them anything else would be returned unopened without dishonour..

Maybe make sure you have locks on your gates, cameras and trespass signs up so you can keep your chattels safe in case of any approaches by the pirates.

Yes the sneeky buggers, the town in the address is ALL CAPS.
