Refund Lawyer Payment
on the 19/8/24 I get a letter of engagement to start proceedings for Ivo letter variation. I pay up front $2500 to start proceedings.
after few phone calls about what’s happening nothing has been done, so then I ring to ask for cancelation of the matter and ask for a refund of $2500.
speaking with a lawyer she says she will count up the cost of calls and emails back and fourth take out the cost and get back to me. It is now 2/10/24 I still have not heard anything, Does anyone have any suggestions as I don’t want to make anymore calls

They could well be. Maybe send a reminder with a date you wish then to notified you by and let them know that any further delays you will be charging them for your service (in spending your time and energy having to continually contact them to find out what is going on) and give them your fee schedule?

Any further delays I will be charging a service fee of $50 an email, $15 a phone call, and reserve the right to start charging interest for the wasted time and energy having to continually contact you.
