Racehorse in a trust
I bred my filly who is now at trainers, has anyone sold a racehorse to their trust?
Did you have to change the owner’s name of yourself to the Trust name or just did the bill or invoice of sale via your Trust name? Can anyone help?

This is from a Q and A… If you are buying things usually when you get a receipt or invoice they will ask what name you want on the invoice and just let them know XYZ Trust. Then the goods will be held in Trust from the beginning.

I’m selling filly from myself to my Trust, so the receipt of the sale is sufficient as the trust is the owner.
Do I have to change ownership with Racing NSW from my name to the Trust? Or the receipt is sufficient.

I’m not sure about all of the ramifications of that as I don’t know anything about that organisation.
