Great explanation. The longest distance in the universe is from the heart to the head. We all have that still small voice inside us wooing us to The Creator. The Pharisees knew to scriptures inside out and back to front yet they didn’t recognize their Creator God when He walked the Earth

He didn’t do this often but the big fella, Jesus, laid a claim that he possessed everlasting life. The Romans, on behalf of the ‘Self-Chosen’, made a counter claim. Their rebuttal consisted of putting him, presumably, to death.
An open and shut case for the respondent no doubt, or was it?

Eternal life grant unto them o Lord.
