  • BOE for ATO tax Debt addressed to the Trustee for xyz SMSF (not all caps name)

Hello! I am seeking clarification if the BOE will still apply if the debt is addressed to the Trustee for xyz SMF rather than my all caps name?

The notice is for my SMF however the communication is always addressed to the Trustee for the SMF. Does the notice need to be addressed to the person for the BOE to be used?

    Thanks in advance!

The Trustee is a person and any person can discharge the liability on behalf of that person, just like you can pay a powerbill for some one else. All they need is the BOE, it doesn”t matter who makes the payment.

      Thanks Morag!

Does the BOE on linen paper need to be attached as part of the notice, redraft & default & liability? The video only shows the scanned docs so I am not sure whether the BOE should be a stand alone doc or glued to the other docs.
