    Good evening all,

I’m making my way through my first (paper) tax amendment (the SE way) and have noticed that the current ATO form no longer includes a ‘No’ option in response to being asked if one wants to use Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) for receiving a refund.

Does this change the SE process, and if so, how?

    Thanks
    Jack

      Thanks for your reply, Dave.

How has that worked for you? Have you had success with this process in the past?

Yes I got all of 2024 and 2023 back but I got a rejection for 2022. I will be writing to them re what Mark said on the last webinar. I have to watch it again for the drafting of my letter. The rejecting was only an offer to contract. Yeh Nah that’s not happening

Legend. What is the reason why we want a cheque and not an EFT?

Is it because the bank account is in the name of our Person and not ourselves as private men/women?

It probably doesn’t really matter. The least they know about my business the better. Mark suggests a bank cheque. You should consider a non registered trust and bank account also so they can’t rob your account
