  • 72 hour contract information

Posted by Danny on May 30, 2023 at 8:48 am

    Hi All,

I would like to ask a question in regards to the 72 hour contract law.

I know there is a 72 hour cooling off period when buying a house and I’m sure there is law between businesses.

I want to know is there such a thing when buying a car?

I bought a car recently and there are issues that were not disclosed.

A lot of the interaction was verbal so I thought what i could do is text the seller stating that I was misinformed about the vehicle and that I wish to not buy it no longer.

Just to note I had this happen but in the past so I’m just asking as a precaution for next time.

    Thank you

In commerce there is a 72 hour cooling off period where you can change your mind.

Ok thanks, do you know if it’s started in legislation somewhere? I know it’s in a housing act but just not sure if it’s in other acts.

Hi, So I looked into it and found that each industry has some sort of cooling period. I just was not sure if it was stated in the BOE act or something similar.
