Hi I had an incident with a police officer on Friday 4/4/25. The cop pulled me over. He told me to get out of my car and I said no. He then proceeded to force me out of my car and handcuff me. He left me in the back of his car for over an hour. He never gave me a reason. Much later another officer came and told me the reason was because they had a search warrant on the house I just left (this was my patient’s house that I was doing physical therapy with).

I was wondering if anyone had information on how to best go about addressing this situation?

Did you record the interaction? Module 18 – How To Address Police When Affronted By An Officer would be a great module for you to buy to prepare for any future interactions.

Hi, no i didn’t record it. It happened so fast. He forced me out of my car as soon as i said no. Would you happen to have a recommendation of anyone from California or familiar with filing California paperwork that might be able to help me?

it always pays to record and have a recording device with you at all times as well as relevant case law and conditional acceptances to pass to any one approaching you to conduct business. If they start threatening you then there are ways to deal with that as well that can put them in a very bad position if it goes to court. You’ll see these remedies in the webinar and module.
