Council gaining entry to your property – QUESTIONS
Hi Community,
A friend has received a letter (attached) and has the following questions..
What are their rights in relation to responding to this letter?
Does it appear that they have been singled out or is this letter generic?
They grow vegetables for their personal consumption on their land.
Does council have the right to enter their property as they have outlined?
Can they negotiate with them to say that they would like a list of the invasive species and they will take care of it themselves?
The letter is read like it gives council flexibility and rights to enter their home whenever they choose.
They are not comfortable with this, they are happy to help council but under their terms.
Any guidance to how to SUCCESSFULLY deal with council in this instance is greatly appreciated.
