Filing an amended defense
Hey guys,
I am in the process of discharging my unsecured personal loan which the bank has taken to court.
I have filed my defense but now have to file an amended defense because the banks lawyers accidentally left a page out of the copy of their statement of claim that was served on me (I find this quite funny because it has made them look really stupid). None the less I need to file an amended defense as a result and I am wondering if anyone here had done this and can offer advice.
It’s my innerstanding that I need to write in first page something like “This defense was amended pursuant to Rule ” x” of the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules” and then sign it.
I have amended everything I need to amend but just looking for some guidance to get these little polishing off bits done so It’s “compliant” and doesn’t give their lawyers anything to winge about.

You could always go and get some free legal advice from a community law centre or alternatively if you have lots of money, pay for a lawyer to look it over. Another route you can take is to pay the ex lawyer on this site to look it over for you.
