Hospital mask mandates
Hi guys today my husband and I needed to go to the local hospital here in NZ to get a tooth pulled. When we made the appointment the lady we spoke to said if we didn’t wear masks the security guards would escort us out. So we prepared ourselves with our Statutory Declarations saying we were exempt and section 189A of the Crimes Act. We had the Health Codes of Conduct and the rules that the health department is under at our fingertips. We had the Govt directives stating that businesses and services were not to stop people from entering their premises if they had an exemption and that exemption cards did NOT need to be shown. We also had a Conditional Acceptance ready to hand to any adversary attempting to harm us as well as scripts from Mark and Sonya as to how to deal with Hospital staff and scripts from his webinar Strategies to Prevent an Arrest. All of this was in a folder. We practised the scripts in the days leading up to the appointment. We each went armed with a camera each, which we switched on as we were approaching the hospital. It felt so good to know how to get prepared and have all the documentation at our fingertips we needed. As it turned out we didn’t need to use anything as we walked up to the front desk recording and the receptionist said “Are you wearing masks today?” We replied “No we both have exemptions” and she sent us on our way. So all in all I’d say it was a win for the people (as the Aussie Cossack says) and it was better to be prepared and not need to use it than be unprepared and get in trouble. Thanks Mark for all of the wonderful teaching on here that allows us to go out with courage and determination in our hearts before going into a potentially confrontational arena.

What way did they send you, did they turn you toward the service or did they turn you away?

They did not obstruct us from proceeding, however we were very prepared if they had tried to do that to us. Once they admitted us we stopped recording, but we would have both started recording again(we had one camera each) if anyone else tried to obstruct us and we would have utilised the materials in our folder.

Good job Janet! I have a surprising success story. One morning two uniformed young gents approached me in my front yard. Smiling and friendly, one said, “Hi, is your name Peter?”
I was cautious as they were both wearing uniforms, with (unseen) ID badges on the side of their sleeves, I stepped forward to see what vehicle they had parked down the road. Yes, they were sheriffs, ready to grab my valuables for long overdue unpaid traffic fines.
I simply replied, “I am a man.”
They must have had issues like this before, and they simply turned and walked, swearing a few insults as they back peddled. Thanks to Mark’s teachings, they had nowhere to go with me.
