    Hi folks,

This ones for the parents who have chosen not to register their children as “chattel”.

How have you navigated things like not having medicare?

We have a baby on the way and are not planning on registering the birth. My concern is needing medical care in emergency situations (broken bones, accidents etc). Does anyone have any experience with this? How does the hospital respond to a situation like this is terms of billing etc? And there is also the question of then does the hospital report that there’s a child with no record in the system?

    Cheers!

    Thanks for the question.

My partner and I are deciding if we should register. We know the pitfalls of registering but this website has tools to manage the pitfalls.

We are considering if the non-registration is right for our coming newborn and us. I don’t want the state involved at all however, as you’ve pointed their may be some utilities from the state that you may want. Mark has taught us to not mix jurisdictions, you are either public or private.

So are they able to facilitate a private means of dealing with emergencies, if not and it worries them maybe the parents should reconsider if they are ready to have a non-registered offspring.

The option for cash payments for medical bills maybe the solution. Registered or not, money talks. Will the hospital refuse your cash?

There is a guy called Alex at this channel on youtube who didn’t register his daughter and he got her a passport. Maybe you could contact him to ask more in depth questions. He has regular zoom meetings and the link is under this video on youtube…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5UDkzKEAIM

Thanks Morag-Janet. I am familiar with this process. Regardless of weather there is a birth certificate or not, passports can only be held by the dead in my opinion. Passports are an instrument brought about by legislation therefore they can only be for creatures of statute.
