If he already accepted their offer of a contract on the side of the road and he accepted their judgment in court, then he can’t now back out of it without being at a very high level of competency. The best remedy for him would be for him to join this site to study and learn how to address police correctly if he is stopped in the future, so that he can deal with any future approaches in a way that keeps him out of contract with the adversary, so they won’t have the ability to fleece him again.
