I’m feeling very tired of seeing Russell Brand videos popping up everywhere like mushrooms. He is quite clearly a mechanism for counter-propaganda. While appearing to be a voice of dissent, all he is doing is broadcasting problems. Problem after problem is churned out until there is little option but to be overwhelmed and disheartened. This keeps the attention focused ‘out there’ on what is wrong, instead of focused on 1. the constructive changes and approaches to build the world we want to see and/or 2. The inner being, cultivating consciousness to arrive upon a more expansive perception. Yet Brand is only interested in obstacles. Okay, sure he is charismatic and entertaining. Obviously there needs to be some measure of quality to the broadcasts otherwise no one would be interested. However the conceit is that, because he is talking about things not in the mainstream media, he must be ‘one of us’. Well think again on that note. I just noticed he recently interviewed ‘he that shall not be named’ – the most evil man on the planet. Well the fact of that certainly says everything we need to know. How does this self styled anarchist and voice of the people, who claims to reject everything corporate media represents – get access to the richest & most evil man of the planet? Who is famed for only being interviewed by those who subscribe and conform to his worldview and agree with his responses?

My thoughts exactly anandrah and well said. I posted in your other thread so won’t repeat myself again. You are 100% correct and the problem I see is the subscriber amount, granted I am one but only for reasons I pointed out in my other posts, but people need to be careful what and who they put their beliefs behind.
