Settling a matter with Fines Enforcement Registry
Hi all,
My strawman currently owes an alleged approx 6k in fines to FER. Now, here’s my issue. I do require the Licence to do commercial undertakings and gain a new job etc. I have got the FER on a 3 notice and estoppel by default as authorised agent. The problem is the licence is still “fines suspended” even though they have tacitly agreed that no debt exists. In those notices, I even offered to pay for three occasions where I accepted the position of trustee by deception, but still no response. what is the best way to discharge the alleged debt?

Hi Zac it is saying you can ask them to resend a copy of the fine as you need it for your records. This extra copy is so you can have more time discharge the liability within 72 hours of receiving the new statement) with the instrument of your choice. Either A4v Promissory Note or Bill of Exchange whichever you work out is appropriate or that you feel is the best way to discharge it.
