Source document for right to claim 4 times the amount of a fraudulent invoice?
I’ve heard it said many times however never seen the source document/ruling/act.
We have a court filing that needs substantiation of this right to claim 4 times the amount claimed by a plaintiff(building company) that is to be proven fraudulent.
If anyone can point me to that source I’d be very appreciative, cheers PC

That’s quite the ancient source to quote to a magistrate.

I believe you use this in your three step notice as a part of creating an agreement with your adversary as to the penalties they will be liable for on default (of the agreement you will have established after the final default notice).
