Time Pressure when holding position – can I remove a caveat quickly?
Hi,
I issued a PN to a lender for a line of credit and have been holding my position in accordance with the modules. It has been going for about 6 weeks now. Today a law firm placed a caveat on a real estate property I own which is currently financed by another lender and is being sold as the property was part of a project for my building company. It was the other lender who brought it to my attention and they are concerned. They are a private investment firm.
How can I have the caveat removed quickly? I have not received any correspondence from a lawyer and the lender did not advise they would place a caveat although I am aware it is in the loan agreement I electronically signed with them some in March. I am assuming it is the finance company as they have recently sent a letter of demand.
What is my best course of action. I appreciate your assistance on this matter.
