    Hi guys

I have a Zipmoney account. Seems to be very different to a credit card company. They will not give me their postal address at all, only an email.

I would like to use a notice of payment offer as least resistance while I continue learning, but I can’t send a cheque or note so that is not an option.

Is there a process I can use sending documents through email? I’m doubtful that would hold up.

I was thinking maybe they have to provide a postal address by law, but I can’t find much info on that either.

I can’t consolidate debt. I don’t actually have a credit card and I can only get a credit card from my home loan bank atm, and they will just tack that onto our loan.

Just incase others read this for Zipmoney.

I called ZIP and said I am only able to pay cash and will need a postal address. I explained the last person would not provide it, and that I had been advised they do have to provide an address. He did He was very accommodating and gave it to me.
He did mention they won’t take cash but will accept a cheque.

I did actually find the address on their website. They were reluctant to provide the address the first time I called so the intent is to make it hard to find.

I’m still undecided whether to do a BOE or Notice of Payment offer for my zip debt. but I’ll reply with the results either way 🙂

Fantastic Laura, can you provide the address here in case anyone needs it in future?

Of course. The address they gave me over the phone was:

        Collections department

        Zipmoney PTY LTD

Level 1, 10 spring street, Sydney, NSW, 2000

        Their website shows:

        Zip Customer Care hardship team

Lv 14, 10 Spring street, Sydney, NSW, 2000.

Hi Laura, I am in the same boat. Wondering which payment process you used and how you went with it? Cheers! 🙂

    Hi Brandon

I’m sorry didn’t end up using a process for zip at that time. I’m studying the promissory note remedy and would like to try it though.
I have recently used zip again and have requested a statement of account from them to be sent to my address.

I think that is what can be tricky with Zip, they need to send the statement of account. An online monthly statement they send out each month is not the same a statement of account.
They are big enough to securitize and have access to big banks so I don’t see why the liability to pay couldn’t be discharged if we can get a statement of account.

I’m guessing the statement of account needs to be sent as a paper copy to my address? we can just print a copy can we?

      Hi Laura,

I’ve printed a copy of my online credit card statement and used that for the A4V money order process.

So as long as your statement has a tear away section (payment slip) on the bottom you could use the A4V process. If you’re learning I think this would be the easiest option. I’m still learning too, only up to my 2nd default notice after they claimed they didn’t receive payment.

If your statement does not have the tear away section a promissory note would work but the process is a bit more in depth. I haven’t had a go at that one yet.

      Good luck with it!

        Hi Berniew

Unfortunately I can’t use it for Zip, they dont have statements with a tear away section for A4V which is annoying, but I have been wanted to try a promissory note on something small.

That’s great you are on the second step with them, can you keep us posted on how you go?

        Thanks Berniew 😊

We can’t just print a copy*

Well, If you printed your statement for A4V then I guess I could print a statement of account if they only send them via email.

I’ve only dealt with camera fines where a pay date is extended each time they send a statement out. But a pay date isnt applied for zip or credit cards, so I could just print the statement of account if they only email them through.

Thank you, that would be much easier then forcing a paper copy from them.

    Hi Guys

Here is a list of each member and their role in ZIP Australia, So you can address the correct person in your chosen process.

Q – I should receive the statement of account next week hopefully. Does anyone know who I should address for the promissory note? I need to address the accounts department but who personally would I address as the Payee?
Im thinking either the Secretary, Managing director, or Chief financial officer.

    Zip Australia, executive team:
    http://www.zip.co/about-us/our-board

Group CEO and managing director: Cynthia Scott
    Company Secretary: Tai Phan
Group Cheif Financial officer: Gordon Bell
    Group General Counsel: David Tyler
    Chair, Non-executive Director: Dianne Smith
Co-founder and US CEO: Larry Diamond
Co-Founder and ANZ CEO: Peter Gray
    Non-executive Director: Meredith Scott
    Non-executive Director: John Baitstich

I would send it to the CFO. It is a payment, so this is their department, they should know what to do with it (although they probably wont :-)).

This is what they sent me, for bpay though.

Is this the same as a statement of account?
