UK Birth Certificate (Copy of the original) – Redacted scan for reference?

  • UK Birth Certificate (Copy of the original) – Redacted scan for reference?

    Hello

Does anyone have a redacted scan or template of a copy of the (full) UK Birth Certificate?
And/ or a concrete method for acquiring one from a Registrar?

    For clarity:
Mark (from HKP Events?) describes this ‘copy of the original certificate’ at 1:49:55 on Day 2, Part 2 of the 3 day UK ‘Rules of The Game’ workshop.
Only one other member of the audience had the same/ correct certificate. At which point he advises everyone else to go and get them.

    Mark’s Description:
A4 portrait (upright). All red ink except for the name which is in black ink. (Cost £50 for two in ~2012.)
The number on these certificates will remain the same for every copy. This is the number that you need.
Each certificate is reprinted/ typed, it is not a photocopy.
Paper – White/ cream bond/ water marked paper.
Mark said the Chief Registrar repeatedly denied this certificate existed before eventually relenting.

    This is NOT:
The short form Certificate of Birth – got that.
The Certified Copy of an Entry – got that.
The hospital ‘live birth’/ ‘baby born’ records etc – got those.

    Hi Morag

Thanks for the response, but it’s pretty clear from the course that very few people have a copy of the full “Certificate of Birth” in the UK.

It would be harder for the Registrar to deny the certificate exists if we had one for reference.

Hey Jeremy, If they do not have that original Live Birth Certificate/registration, then there is no Surety and the BC that is being held against you, making you a Trustee, is fraudulent. There is a Breach of Trust. The Registrar has a duty to perform as those details were left in their care and they are the Custodian. Maybe wording to that effect might make it reappear.

    All the best.
