Reasons for a Deed of Addendum
A Deed of Addendum is required to be done by the settlor (then it is kept with the original deed)
1) Add or remove a trustee
2) Upon the death of the trustee when a new trustee is appointed when form 18b has been actioned. (see below)
3) add or removal of beneficiary (ies)
4) trustee wants to remove him/herself as a beneficiary
5) add or remove the principal(s)
18b “Notice of Appointment of a Trustee [upon the Death of Trustee]” document which was emailed with the support documents. Should be in place prior to the death of the trustee or if not then a default beneficiary will step into the trustee role.
