    Also one more question, every year since 2017 me and my partner have put down common law on our return (I know now from the video that a piece of paper cannot be married or in a relationship) There is 6 boxes you can check off on the paper in that section (1. Married 2. Living Common-law 3. Widowed 4. Divorced 5. Separated 6. Single.) Because every year I have put: “Living common law” what do we do for this year? In the video it says stroke it out and write “N/A”. They will question this. Or do I check off Separated (now that I know more)

    I will claim as self employed and when he does his he will claim his pay from government. I was wandering that too when I was watching the video, he works for the government so he probley cannot put “other work related expenses” can he as they will know right away. ?? As a teacher Half his pay goes to the government. (I guess that is the down side of it) šŸ™ Because he works for the government he cannot get his taxes back.
