MemberSeptember 25, 2024 at 11:14 am in reply to: Expiation Notice – NOTICE OF DEMAND TO CEASE AND DESIST SOLICITONThankyou, I’m not sure I can do all of that morag, I have done the 3 letter process before and I never seem to come out ahead. I think most feel this way, they make the process so long and time consuming most of us end up backing down. I find myself not able to sleep at nights because as a working Mum I don’t have time to study it all 100%
Its sad and makes me feel like a failure.
I appreciate the advice I receive on this platform though and I am learning all be it slowly. It’s a matter of courage, but I will get there one day.
I will let you know what steps I take next and the outcome. Thank you.

Well I opened it. They are unable to identify my account. They need my email, address, dob, d/license etc before they can assist with my enquiry.
Ironic I’m asking them to cease using my email, phone number etc. And they send another email.
That’s governments for you.

Well I received an email back from SA FINES.
Once again I haven opened it only read first line in notifications.
It reads
‘OFFICIAL Hi, thanks for reaching out to us’
Q. Does it matter if I open it.
-
Thanks. You know this whole thing is so frustrating but fun and rewarding at the same time. Learning each day.
If I didn’t open any of their envelopes do you think the fine will be original amount or have had fees added on.
I’d be curious to find out, but not sure how or if I should bother.

Thanks, I have an Android.

Awww that sounds interesting. Thankyou.

Excellent. I can’t believe they sent a text message about it.
I received a fine about a year ago and two more envelopes after that. I wrote Do not consent to contract on all three. Then it stopped until about three weeks ago I received another. I’m just guessing it’s a new fine but not 100% sure. I received only two envelopes this time before the text message.
The text message in addressed in ALL CAPS ofcourse but only my Christian name. I’m not sure if I should open the text message. I’ve only viewed the first few lines that pop up. I’m worried if I open it they will be able to tell then it would be an admission that I’ve received it thereby consenting.

Excellent, I will email them today. Fingers crossed. ❤️

That is so good, I will let you know how I go with it.
I don’t want to give them any ammunition so I’ll just stick to what you’ve suggested and say nothing else.
They sent me a text message, funny it is addressed to my Christian name only, no surname.
Q. Is it OK to open text message & read it completely.
Q. Should I contact them by email or phone.

Thankyou for your replies, I have transferred all my funds to a joint account. Not sure they can touch that.

They have taken money from my bank account before but only if I opened it and responded. for example some in the past I contracted to a monthly payment plan & when I forgot to pay they debited a lot of money from my account.

Yes I have heard a lot of David Wynn Miller & Russell Jay Gould – Commander In Chief – Post Master General. Stopped USA’s third & final bankruptcy with the UK. Great story but I don’t know much of this fellow fighting councils.

Good morning morag-janet, well I tried your suggestion, I am in South Australia, I sent a letter with an enlarged copy of my AAR license on 5th April. It is now 22nd May and I have received a reminder notice for the same Expiation Notice and an additional fee of $68 added. What do you suggest I try now. Appreciate any input you can offer. Regards Denia.
