Hi Kezzie. I am keen to find this out also as i want to ask my employer to do the same. If you wouldn.t mind answering a couple questions. Do you need to give your employer and ABN in order for then to pay yoi as a sole trader ? I think there are ato forms you/they fill out so you can trade with them without an ABN. I don.t fully understand the GST component. Does it mean you have to pay 10% of yr wage in GST? What if you are under 75 grand?

No ATM I don’t earn $75000 a year I only work three days a week. so if I want to use an ABN and ask if they will pay me as a subby, I guess I would ask for my current rate plus 10 or 11 % super. I would still come under $75000 a year. So does this mean no GST for me? If I did this I could fill out my next return declare nothing and tick the last return box?
But what about my employer does he need to pay the GST for my services?
Also I think there is a an ATO form you can use instead of an ABN stating you don’t have an ABN but still wish to act as a subcontractor, basically trading without an ABN

I.m a little confused. Do you send the BOE via registered post first. Then later meet at the venue stated on the BOE to pay the dollar. Or are you meant to meet athe venue to present the BOE?
