hi all,
just reading through the messages and just wondering if I have to included my middles names, reasoning being is that its 13 characters and I’m unsure as to whether this would fit.
Would put the first initial of each middle name be sufficient
thanks

thank you, i have sent what you have written as a response.
also ive just read round 4 documents and it looks like we need to attach exhibits, so all the paper work we have sent off for rounds 1 -3 we need to attach to our affidavit but i cant see where on the instructions that it says to attach photo copies of these documents in with round 4.

Hi Morag
I’ve just realise that they are apart of the declaration and that in the declaration they state that they are exhibits, would these not be included on the cert mail and stated as exhibits?

thanks morag

Hi morag,
we will endevour to setup a foundation in the future but wont have one setup in time.
we are at the stage of coming up with a line to tell the banks before this drops. with the cash dropping into unregistered trust accounts we feel we can hold our position as the unregistered trust doesnt have tax obligations. We also have a document that we can give to the banks to support that this money isnt from money laundering. this document is called a ‘source of wealth’ document, when mentioning to the bank i will state that is a source of cashflow as im not to sure if the word ‘wealth’ is something that the tax office would feel that they can tax.
when asked, applicable answers could be
ie here is my source of cashflow and this is from the productivity of my labour’
any other suggestions
thanks

hi morag,
no worries, I did see on their part 2 that they had flood damage so they didn’t have the content for that part but was wondering if perhaps all their videos may have been affected.
thanks for the clarification

Also the videos on the ‘rules of the game’ aren’t working either but ive e-mailed them about those.

let me know how you go and if you manage to find away around it and ill do the same.

Hi Morag,
Sorry didnt see your reply here, i have private msgd you. I have had this exact same conversation with the banks and stated all the same statements in your document and i cant proceed without providing them. They cant give me a number to call to discuss this someone else, they just say its policy and they dont know who i could contact to answer these questions. its very frustrating. So far i have gone to NAB, BOM, Westpc, Bendigo and Commonwealth(they didnt ask me but the documents they send back listed all the beneficaries, which im assuming they have taken off the deed and entered into their system after i visited the branch and they sent off my info to their specialist teams) i have an appointment with ANZ on monday which i am assuming ill come across the same issues
-
Hi Laura,
are you opening this in victoria at all?
Im having troubles with the banks wanting all beneficiaries names and some banks asking for the addresses of the trustees. Im sure i heard mark state that we are obligated to provide beneficiaries names but i cant proceed without supplying these.
Did you come across this issue at all?
-
hi
no i havent but i will try, do they ask for the details of beneficiaries at all?
-
Hi All.
im having trouble with the banks wanting all the details of beneficiaries including their home addresses. Ive expressed to them that i dont understand why they need all these details as they have no power over the trust and also they are violating privacy laws by requesting me to provide this on their behalf without consent and its also private.
I ask them why they require this information and they have come back with
‘As discussed, I do need to collect the residential address for all named beneficiaries below.
This is a regulatory requirement that NAB needs to understand for reporting purposes who is linked to each trust, and who benefits (i.e. the beneficiaries). I understand they may not have control of the trust, however we do need to collect their basic information which would be their name and address to be able to proceed with the account opening.’
I cant get any accounts open without providing this information. Commonwealth, NAB, Bank of Melbourne and Bendigo bank are all requiring this.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how i deal with this as i was under the assumption that this is none of their business and i shouldnt be providing being the trustee of this account.
Thanks
