  • Summons (Return to Sender) if I’ve already opened the envelope?

Posted by J on December 21, 2023 at 3:56 pm

I received a summons notice to appear two days ago. I’m sending a notice and demand for further and better particulars with a notice of non-consent and certificate of mailing… however, I’ve clearly opened the big envelope from the police containing the summons.

Q: is there anyway that I can still return the summons/notice to appear in its original containing envelope (given the envelope has clearly been opened)? And send it back to the police alongside my first demand notice? Or given that I’ve opened the envelope should I not send the summons back to the police?

    Happy Thursday legends

Have you purchased the module 28 Address Summons and Notice to Appear? and watched this webinar?… https://solutionsempowerment.org/webinar-options-to-address-a-summons-notice-to-appear/

Yep I just watched it then again and I’ve purchased the document module, but he says to carefully open the envelope so it appears unopened (however in this case the envelope is clearly opened)

You could try sending it back with a note saying it was opened in error, but it might be risky. We can give anything a go once though if we are game and up for whatever comes.
