  • Superannuation / SMSF – what’s the best way to get it?

Hi Everyone, there’s a lot of talk about how important it is to get our super out of a managed fund into a self managed fund. Has anyone successfully managed to get their Aussie super out of a managed fund into an SMSF by using their living man/woman name? Or is it best to simply do it all through the system using the fiction name, which means registering with the ATO, which means contracting with them, then take on the ATO later. I’m getting a bit confused with different advice. Some say don’t do it in the fiction name but I’m yet to speak with anyone who’s successfully carried out the process in the living name because of course the ATO don’t recognise the living woman, and I’ve heard that the managed super funds won’t release the funds until you’ve registered the new SMSF with the ATO. I’d love to setup an SMSF in my living woman name but my brain can’t process how to go about it. So if I do it all through the fiction name, my brain can’t seem to process how I’ll go about recinding any agreements entered into with the ATO and transferring the contents of the SMSF into the living woman’s name later. Anyone else interested in this subject? I do have my affidavit of being a living woman in place, unrebutted. So therefore does it undo my affidavit if I then act as the fiction to create the SMSF?

Hi, are you still looking for a way to enter into a SMSF? If so, we’re interested in learning and perhaps you may have some information to share? Perhaps we can work this together.

Feel free to make contact anytime!

    Thanks.

Hi, I’m interested in SMSF too. Any information or links to research would be great.

Hi, we have an ATO registered SMSF, we did it before we knew about private trusts, but obviously now we know we want to change over. Would love to know if this can be done.
