None of the links to Blacks Law Dictionary are currently working. I was gifted an 8th ed hard copy. Would like a 5th but hard to track down a HC.

I actually have a Blacks Law Dictionary 1st edition published in 1999. However, I see that most references are to the 5th edition. I remember hearing stick to the earlier editions (can’t get earlier than 1st 😂) and not to go above 5th edition as they started perverting it.

the 5th edition i bought off of ebay arrived. $140 NZD delivered !. a bargin. have a scrounge around ebay, there were many 5th editions available at reasonable prices when i was looking,

Thanks Kari, I don’t use ebay but will maybe give it another chance. The original one 1897 republished in 1999 has been a great comparison of how much has changed. There are words in the later editions that don’t appear in the original. Also words defined that have been deleted.
