Congratulations! I did my 2023/2024 tax return using the SE method and received all my tax back totaling $12,000. It took 4 months. I have also lodged an amendment for my 2022/2023 return.

    Dave

Did they give you a lot of problems while you were doing the process?

    Audit?

    Runaround?

    Telling you were not eligible?

No problems at all. I thought they were just going to ignore it and I was prepared to give them a call. No audit or phone call from them. If they ask for an audit then there is paperwork to rebut their claims. Just follow what Mark says and hold your position if needed.

Interesting that they didn’t put you through the process.

I know of someone that did it, and they gave them a bit of grief, audited them as well. They did get some $$ back, but they requested receipts.

Did they ask you for full receipts?

No they didn’t ask for receipts. Heard nothing from them at all until I received the cheque in the mail. I elected not to give them my bank account but requested a cheque

That is excellent news and a good outcome for you, and, I guess others.

I wonder if they now realised that people have cottoned on to their deceit

Its best to do the paper return which you can download from their website. Cancel your MyGov account and elect for a cheque rather then a bank transfer

Hi guys this is Petra from qld. im doing Mark’s process tax first time – i’m self employed. purchased module and documents only on thursday. watched everything 3x. even had consult with Mark but i wasn’t aware of buying module, i thought it’s just the free older video on min tax to watch mod2, so i wasn’t prepared. i would need some guidance please. they already canceled my husband’s abn as we are late with lodging return. so i’m not sure wheter to declare all my productivity of labour and then put in other work expenses and gradually how Mark advises on some videos that is not too obvious and draw attention, or just put in 500$ and not worry about expenses. i earned double from 22/23 return to now that i’m lodging 23/24. i earned over 100K too, so i’m not sure whcih way to go

“…so I’m not sure which way to go”

It’s no fun being unsure what to do, huh? I typically find that I feel unsure of what to do when I don’t fully understand the process. If you had clarity and the confidence to defend yourself (hold your position) do you think you would still feel unsure of what to do?

My suggestion is to make sure you understand the diversity between you, the living woman, and the All-Caps-Name (Ens Legis, creature of statute, person, individual, etc). When the ATO writes to you, they ALWAYS address their correspondence to the All-Caps-Name, and they ALWAYS sign off using their Title Case name. Right there, in that very correspondence they are admitting that there is a diversity between the Ens Legis and you, the living woman.

Essentially, the ATO presents you with the evidence you need to defend yourself every time they write to you by using the All-Caps and Title case formats in the same letter. Having the confidence to defend yourself is always connected to how well you understand the subject matter.

Make yourself bulletproof and you will know what to do.

In the meantime, write to the ATO and apologise for the delay in lodging and inform them of your plan to lodge by a certain date after the end of this coming financial year. That will satisfy them and give you the time to understand the process and why it works.

        Good hunting Petra!

Fantastic job! I also did my taxes 2 years ago Mark’s process. I got 1 year back and haven’t been paying tax for 3 years now.

I claimed 100% straight off so it worked for me. There is a question on the return ” Will this be your last return” If you are self employed then you can elect to tick this box and never have to send in your return ever again. If you did it this way then you wouldn’t be able to claim eg: car, clothing ect.

More you can retreat from THEIR system the better. My income/productivity comes from both wages and through an ABN so I have to fill out a return to claim the tax they stole off of me

Hi Friends, I have just been introduced to the solutions empowerment and a new member, and wow, I thought my eyes were open before but in the last 2 days, but now im in shock at the rort we reside in. SO congrats to everyone who has stepped up to the ato, its so great to hear recent success stories. I am currently lodging an amendment to last year following the principles and information provided.

I did have one question if someone would mind clarifying please, as its not shown in the videos or text that I saw.

On the declaration page of the ato form we are all writing “All remuneration collected by agent for principal”. I understand that me the living man is the acting as the agent for the public ALL Caps name and making direction as the agent however in the context of this statement what is it specifically saying please?

    Thank you

Good one mate. I haven’t done a return since 2018 . Do you know of a time limit to do the amendments?

Hi Brino, I have noted in a couple of Marks Q&A, the ATO permits two previous years amendments can be made. It is also on the ATO website.
