An Affidavit is the document of highest commercial energy in any legal proceedings. The deposer, the one making it, list the facts of their matter, one paragraph at a time. Evidence to support each fact is exhibited to the Affidavit. In a proceeding, a good Affidavit may win the proceeding. In private matters, the use of an Affidavit commonly settles or mitigates a matter.

A Declaration is made by a private wo/man and has higher status that even an Affidavit.
