If the original engineer did a bad job, you need to put in a formal complaint to his superiors. When ever some one comes on your property (and it is up to you whether they gain entry or not) make sure you get their business card and name and job title so if they harm you in any way, financial or otherwise you know who to hold accountable. Also ask for their indemnity insurance details and this puts them on notice that you will be claiming for damages if anything that they are responsible for goes wrong and they will most likely make sure they do a job to your satisfaction. Film what they are doing so you have evidence. Tell them you are filming for your protection (you have every right to do this on your own property.

Using a PN requires you to competently write a PN for a start and then know how to write any necessary follow up Notices if they attempt to ignore it. If it is taken to court you then have to know how to hold your position in court with it and make sure you don’t get chucked under the bus by the judge. So there is lots and lots of learning and study that needs to be done before tackling a PN. Tax department and Councils and banks are notoriously difficult (but not impossible) to get over the line with this one.

They use words that seem ambiguous to confuse people and it works, it’s very hard to unwind their documents sometimes, I rely on Mark a lot because he has tried and tested his interpretations and methods.

I went to to a solicitor the other day about transferring my home into an unregistered Trust. I just need to know who was required to fill out the tax forms that was a part of the process of transference in NZ. He didn’t even know what an unregistered Trust was, he thought it was the same as a private family Trust and he didn’t think his Trust having a tax number meant it was registered (his private family Trust). He really didn’t know what I was talking about and when he was forced to make a decision as to whether I knew something he didn’t or whether I was a nutcase I could tell which one he was thinking. It was very interesting to see how upset he got when faced with something he was not sure of. I didn’t try to educate him, I just thanked him and left. Many lawyers have no clue there are two worlds the private and the public and when they do they just seem to want to put roadblocks in our way. It’s so good to know we can learn to take care of most of our own affairs ourselves.

I would notify them that you will take responsibility for your own finances and that you wish them to give you your pay in its entirety as you wish to handle your own financial affairs. Here’s some more info about the tax office. The taxpayers charter page 23 point 6 shows tax is voluntary. We have a wages Protection Act in NZ maybe you have something similar in Australia. I’ll share the NZ one here

I wouldn’t ever ever call myself a living wo/man of flesh and blood as flesh and blood is not living. Only the soul is living inside the body and if you refer to yourself as flesh and blood, a psychiatric evaluation could be called for (in court) as ‘living flesh and blood man’ is a contradiction in terms. If you have an agreement that you are living you could ask “Do we not have an agreement I am a living man?” If you haven’t yet established an agreement then you could ask “Are we in agreement I am a living man?”

Here’s a letter I sent to a third party interloper who wrote to me in the midst of a three step Conditional Acceptance process I was doing with specified members of a City Council. This was their lawyer and you will see how I dealt with this in my reply to him. If the party contacting you is not a party to whom you were referring in your original correspondence then perhaps this sort of answer could be relevant. I didn’t hear from this interloper again.

When you ask him your question don’t use initials eg DIN write out the full name of what you are talking about or he might not be able to work out what you are referring to. Also put the letter Q.. before your question so he can easily find it.

Thank you. you’re definitely on the right forum to study and learn to take your affairs into your own hands and gradually learn how to interact with the pirates and parasites on your terms. Mark is the most honourable man I have seen in this arena in this part of the world and coupled with that he has extensive on the ground experience. We are so lucky to have access to this information which is worth tens of thousands of dollars for a fraction of that cost.

Ignoring (saying nothing) equals assenting and is considered dishonourable in commerce. That is why we write three notices and not one, if they remain silent. There is a rule of three and if they refuse to answer three times they have assented to your position.
